Abwid: The road so far

Hello, folks! It’s about time you receive another update about what’s going on with Abwid. We apologize for this delay and we’ll make sure this doesn’t happen again in the future. Having said that, let’s dive straight into what we’ve been up to:

1. 3rd Party Connections
   This is something which is among the top items on the priority queue. Our contributors have already started working on Facebook, Spotify, Twitter and LinkedIn integrations. So expect your Abwid to be knowing much more about you soon.
2. Android Application
   We are working on an android application for Abwid. The main two benefits of having a mobile app is easier access and additional information like user’s location. That means your Abwid will soon be able to answer where you are!
3. Calendar Scheduling
   We are working to add event scheduling features in Abwid using the user’s personal/public calendar. Abwid will then be able to check your availability and schedule appointments for people with you and notify accordingly. This is something which assistants were meant to do in the ancient times!
4. Back-end Framework Improvement
   For the folks who might be interested, we are also working to improve the ease of training Abwid for different types of queries and developing our very own AI engine. Though this seems to be back-end improvement, this is directly related to Abwid’s performance and user experience on the front-end.
